Fluent Commerce prescribes new Order Management System for Dutch pharmaceutical retailer Etos

Dutch pharmacy chain Etos partners with Fluent Commerce to roll out new order management platform across 500+ stores.

Sydney – March 23, 2021: Fluent Commerce has partnered with leading pharmaceutical retailer Etos to roll out a new Order Management System (OMS) – fueling in-store and online growth at 500+ stores in the Netherlands.

Etos is a leader in pharmaceutical retail, comparable to Boots in the UK or Priceline in Australia. The company is a wholly owned brand of Ahold Delhaize – one of the world’s largest food retail groups.

Etos sells name-brand health, beauty and baby products which are also sold internationally in stores in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Romania, Greece, Serbia and the United States.

The new OMS will be used to unify and automate the management of in-store and online orders – including inventory management, home delivery, ship-from-store, and click and collect.

Etos Director IT, Marc Broer, said: “As a global retailer with over 100 years in business, we were looking for a solution not just to meet our current needs, but to prepare us for the next chapter in continuing our long and successful history. “We believe the flexibility of Fluent’s OMS has unique capabilities to help us improve efficiencies and ultimately increase customer satisfaction,” Marc Broer added.

Fluent Commerce has partnered with software engineering company EPAM Systems to deliver the new Order Management System for Etos. Fluent’s OMS was chosen due to its strength in reducing costs and errors through automation, as well as being cloud based, fully managed and code-free.
“We’re very pleased to be working with Etos, an iconic retail pharmacy brand in the Netherlands. For pharmacies, keeping track of medication inventory throughout the supply chain is more important than ever, particularly to address drug recalls and shortages. By choosing a modern, cloud-based approach to order management and inventory we will be able to help Etos adapt quickly to the changing Covid19 environment, whilst also enabling them respond to any future challenges,” said Rob Shaw, SVP Sales and Managing Director EMEA, Fluent Commerce.
