Fluent Commerce announces support for Agentic Commerce Protocol, Universal Commerce Protocol, and Order Exchange Network
Fluent Order Management adds support for leading agentic commerce protocols to help retailers connect to the emerging agentic commerce ecosystem.
SYDNEY, Australia — April 14, 2026 — Fluent Commerce, the leading global provider of distributed Order Management Systems, today announced its native support for the industry’s leading open protocols for agentic commerce: the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), and the Order Network eXchange (onX).
As AI shopping agents and autonomous commerce applications become more widely adopted, retailers need a consistent way for these systems to communicate with commerce platforms. Without common standards, every connection between an AI agent, retailer, payment provider or fulfilment system could require a separate custom integration.
Support for ACP, UCP and onX enables Fluent Order Management to make key commerce capabilities available through standardized, machine-readable interfaces.
This can allow AI shopping agents and other applications to interact with real-time inventory, product availability, order and fulfillment information. For example, an AI shopping agent could identify where an item is available, understand the fulfillment options that can be offered to a customer, and pass an order into the retailer’s fulfillment network.
“Agentic commerce will only scale if agents and commerce platforms can communicate using common standards,” said Graham Jackson, CEO of Fluent Commerce. “Retailers should not have to build a new integration for every AI shopping experience that emerges. By supporting open protocols such as ACP, UCP and onX, we are helping retailers make their existing commerce operations accessible to a much broader ecosystem of AI agents while retaining control over inventory, fulfillment and order execution.”
Fluent Order Management acts as the decision layer between customer demand and the retailer’s fulfillment network. It provides real-time inventory visibility and determines how orders should be fulfilled based on the retailer’s business rules and operational priorities.
By supporting emerging agentic commerce standards, Fluent Commerce is helping retailers connect AI-driven shopping experiences to their existing order and fulfillment operations without creating another layer of proprietary integrations.
