About the Solution Engineering Team

The Fluent Commerce Solution Engineering (SE) team is responsible for supporting the commercial growth of the business. The team does this by harnessing the platform built by the Fluent Product Team and enhancing it to showcase the ‘art of the possible’ to clients & partners. Additionally, the team collabo-rates closely with other groups in the organisation to ensure the product roadmap remains relevant and competitive.
The team currently consists of a blend of client facing, business & technical focused members in UK, France, Canada and Australia HQ. The team is tasked with gathering client requirements and translate these into working solutions and prototypes using the Fluent platform. Continuous client and partner interaction allows the team bring market feedback to HQ to validate and influence the product roadmap.

Position Summary

The technology and tools on which this team heavily depends needs a Product Owner to ensure it is continuously improved, remains competitive in the market and reaches a world class level.


  • Own the Solution Engineering demonstration platform.
  • Work closely with our client and market facing stakeholders to identify, capture and prioritise critical requirements that improve the demonstration platform.
  • Manage the end to end lifecycle of:
    • requirements gathering
    • document & design specifications
    • collaborate with development and architect team members to deliver on these specifications
    • testing new functionality
    • orchestrate the release process
    • enablement content creation
    • facilitate retrospective reviews & implement improvements
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineering Architects during iteration of design, build, test and release.
  • Close alignment with Product Engineering team and standard upcoming releases to ensure we are at the bleeding edge of upcoming product capability.
  • Design and improve the processes that underpin these responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager / Business Analyst at a SaaS company.
  • Experience in order management and/or commerce within the B2C / B2B / Retail sector is preferable.
  • Desire to work in a team based on principles of prototyping, urgency, face-pace and quickly shifting priorities.
  • Continuously manage and contribute to multiple work streams in parallel.
  • Decisive and agile under pressure.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and problem solving skills, where attention to detail is critical.
  • Good system analytical skills to help transform user requirements into system and component level functional requirements.
  • Agile methodology working experience.
  • Comfortable collaborating with global teams, bringing a proactive working approach.
  • Fluency in English is required
